Better builds is a Minnesota based contracting company that is focused on sustainability and design. They partner with their clients to create construction solutions that solve their unique problems while also being the best option long term for the project. This includes not taking shortcuts just to save a few dollars and working to preserve what is already in place instead of just tearing something out cause it would be easier.
As a new company Better builds needed a visual identity that pushed them out ahead of the competition. This meant that we stayed away from a lot of the conventions when it comes to contractors and instead pushed the identity to highlight the companies approachability and with warm colors.
The logo started as a monogram and was then pushed and molded into a 3 dimension mark that maintains flexibility to be used wherever it is needed while also remaining legible. The typeface is a standard font that was customized to match the shape of the logo with customized “u”s and “t”s to ensure the kerning turned out wonderfully.

The website was created as a way to educate potential clients about the experience of working with Betterbuilds including their process and what kind of service you will be able to expect. The website has a simple but functional layout that matches across mobile and desktop. We created a homepage, contact, about page as well as templates for portfolio pages along with a new / education page.
